Mindy Coretz
Head Trainer

Mindy began riding horses at 7 years old and was instantly smitten with the horses she got to spend time around. Since then, her fiery passion has not wavered and she has taken every opportunity to pursue the sport in every possible way.

As an amateur, Mindy established Eighteen Acres Farm, LLC through which she purchased, developed, and sold quality young horses. While balancing her sales business and college, she also sought out opportunities to ride under different top professionals. Mindy was committed to a heavy involvement in the day to day care as well as veterinary and farrier care of her horses and pushed herself to absorb as much knowledge as possible through her amateur years. As an amateur, some of Mindy’s accomplishments include circuit championships at the Winter Equestrian Festival, National Hunter Derby wins, a class win in the AOs at Devon, and countless quality horses sold into homes where they continue to thrive.

Since turning professional in December of 2016, Mindy has continued to seek out opportunities to learn and grow as a horseperson. Her diverse background of riding under and working for various professionals, her interest in managing the whole horse (including training and conditioning, veterinary and farrier care, feed and grooming, turnout, and so much more), and her desire to continue to learn sets her apart from many of her peers. A self-declared ‘horse nerd,’ Mindy’s love for horses is both apparent and contagious through her program, which sets a precedent of putting the horses first at every turn. Since turning professional, Mindy has been successful in both the Grand Prix and International Hunter Derby arenas and shares her love and passion for both hunters and jumpers with her students.

As a coach, Mindy loves working with people from all walks of life and is well practiced at helping students accentuate their strengths and work through their weaknesses in a positive and encouraging environment. Described as “positive,” “relatable,” and “approachable,” by her students, Mindy loves to help anyone who loves horses and wants to learn, no matter their experience level.
